Happy April! It’s that time of year again to freshen up our homes with a quality deep clean! Being 34 weeks pregnant I have some extra nesting motivation to accomplish my spring cleaning. Entering adulthood triggered my understanding of the importance of spring cleaning; that’s when I got desperate for a refresher. And I must say, nothing feels better than a truly clean home!
The Complete Checklist
I’m the type of person that can’t get anything done unless I have a list. Bonus points if I can physically cross something off of said list- I like to visualize my accomplishments! I created this checklist to deep clean my home and prepare for baby #2. I even added a special bonus in the downloadable pdf file, and it is a game changer! It is a weekly checklist to help maintain your freshly cleaned home! Download your spring cleaning checklist here!
Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day
…And my house didn’t get clean in a day either. Take your time with this one, momma. I have a toddler I’m trying to chase around the house, so progress happens pretty slowly over here. Example- I’m literally loading the dishwasher, and my sweet girl comes up and unloads dirty dishes from the dishwasher. She may think she’s helping, and that’s darling, but I CAN’T GET ANYTHING DONE! I literally wait until she goes to bed to start cleaning, and I can only work for a few hours before I’m ready for bed; or until my 34 week pregnant body tells my feet to start swelling.
Take things one step at a time. I promise it is ok- in fact, it’s encouraged! Slow down. And allow your toddler think she’s helping fold the laundry or wash the windows. So what if have to follow them to fix it. After all, nothing beats quality time, right?
Comment on this post to let me know how your spring cleaning went, or if you have any questions about how I conquered my never-ending mess! I’d love to hear from you!
